Ancient flavors


Al Cavallino is an ancient and typical tavern, magic and romantic place, beautiful and charming that is reborn from the thrust of Denis Mistro, a man well-known in the city, already owner of the Bar Borsa, of Lingotto and the Event&Catering.
The new management, from the 21th of july 2016, wanted to give new life to the place. Today is also an unusual and curios bed&breakfast that promise its guests a unique holiday made by local history, tradition and authenticity.

The interior of the structure is a blast from the past, a collection of historical documents, writings of the sixteenth century still preserved here, paintings, furniture of 1815 and old church pews dated 1844, works and artifacts survived the passing of the centuries.

The place is also known for the figure of Giancarlo Bottacin, former manager, author of sonnets and poems, which sold the old tavern to Denis Mistro.
The recent reopening has been preceded by a complete restoration that refreshes the structure maintaining the same richness and vividness than five centuries ago.

Between taste and history


Our history

The old tavern Al Cavallino born in an adjoining sixteenth alla Porta Santi Quaranta, historical gateway to the city of Treviso, where they begin Borgo Cavour and the bastions of San Marco.
Ostaria old now five centuries, was a place of historical encounters and creates many initiatives, which in time helped to give fame and prestige in the center of Treviso.

Who we are



As reported by historical sources, that tavern was born in 1516, in the years of Julius II, also known as the terrible Pope, and became a meeting place and rest of illustrious personages of the Serenissima.
Among the latter remembers Alessandro Leopardi, the famous Renaissance architect, with large probability was the architect of the door Santi Quaranta.
